The North American Museum of Radio & Entertainment Technology, located in Jacksonville North Carolina, was organized ultimately to bring radio and entertainment technologies out of the cloud of internet personal interests and make it available for current and new generations. Although we exist currently in the cloud ourselves soon we hope to have a physical "brick & mortar" presence where people can go to actually experience the past today.
Our goal is to have a location that will allow people of all ages to actively engage with radio and entertainment technologies of the past. This includes an interactive vintage radio studio to buildable radio & related technology projects. From static and interactive displays to real functioning entertainment technologies, the idea is to offer a place that goes beyond the mundane museum experience. Lastly, we want a place where other collectors or enthusiasts can have a place to bring their collections or to simply have a place to meet.
Finally, we wish to encourage future radio or entertainment technology students by eventually offering small scholarships. By doing so we can not only preserve our past but encourage those who represent a vast array of dreams and ideas related to radio or certain entertainment technologies including the computer and communications fields.
